Presidents Message

THE MAY MEETING WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY MAY 23, 2019 AT 7:00 PM, AT THE YORKTOWN BREWERY. 


HELLO MEMBERS;

 THE YORKTOWN ELKS WILL BE HOSTING THEIR

 ANNUAL LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION 

 NIGHT ON FRIDAY, MAY 17 AT 5PM.

 OUR FRIENDS AT THE YORKTOWN ELKS WHO ARE

 ALWAYS VERY GOOD TO THE SOCIETY WHETHER

 IT IS OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY OR OUR

 MONTHLY MEETINGS, THE ELKS ARE SECOND TO

 NONE IN THEIR SUPPORT OF PESW.

 THE ELKS LAW APPRECIATION NIGHT IS EXACTLY

 WHAT THE ELKS ARE ALL ABOUT, THEY GO THE EXTRA

 MILE FOR ALL THOSE AROUND THEM.

 MANY SOCIETY MEMBERS ARE ALSO MEMBERS OF

 THE YORKTOWN ORDER INCLUDING MYSELF.

 SEVERAL OF THE BOARD MEMBERS ARE RETIRED

 POLICEMAN AND SERVE THE COMMUNITY EVEN

 IN THEIR RETIREMENT YEARS, GOOD MEN THEMSELVES!

 PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND THIS GREAT

 NIGHT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT CAMARADERIE AND

 SUPPORT THOSE WHO SUPPORT US!

Our History

The Police Emerald Society of Westchester (PESW) was established in 1968. We are one of the largest and oldest Emerald Societies in the tri-state area. The Society consists of active and retired police officers.

The Society was conceived with 5 objectives:
 

  1. To develop and foster a spirit of camaraderie and fellowship amongst its members
  2. To uphold and defend the constitution of the United States and the State of New York at all times
  3. To instill and preserve in its members the heritage of their Gaelic culture
  4. Whenever possible, assist members and their families in times of need
  5. To award scholarships to children and grandchildren of Society members as provided by our by-laws

Grand Council of United ​Emerald Societies

We are a political umbrella organization representing Emerald Societies from various professional backgrounds united by a common goal. The Grand Council   includes twenty-three organizations with a combined  membership of nearly twenty-five thousand strong.
